Miles passed away on 1/20/11

9/13 We were notified that Miles was having some issues with his back. During the vet visit, he had xrays, and they revealed he had spinal deterioration... The pain became to much and he has passed over to Rainbow Bridge.

May 28, 2013 SSPSNJ has asked for help in placing Miles. He is the care of People for Animals. If you are or someone you know is interested in him please visit pfaonline.org

Hi. I'm Miles (my name was changed from Miles to max and back to Miles on 12/7/2010). I'm a 13 year old boy but don't let that stop you - I've got lots to offer you in return for your love and gentle hand. With my foster family, I've come a long way from the very frightened dog I was in the kennel. I smile a lot and wag my tail now!

I would like a home either with a female dog or even a cat. I'm not allowed on the sofa here but I want so much to get up there and snuggle next to that someone special. Will you be that special someone?

I am a very sweet dog who really needs constant access to the out doors. I am very affraid of mirrors and will wake up in the middle of the night growling and barking at myself. I am an early riser and will usually wake up about 5 am.

If you would take me home, I would return the love you give me tenfold.

Love,
Miles

* We do not permit adoptions of shelties as gifts. If you would like to give one as a gift you can contact us for advice on how to handle the situation.
Please note that we do NOT adopt to homes with children under the age of 10. Herding dogs, especially shelties, tend to chase whatever/whoever is running & they often will nip at the back of legs in their attempt to gather everyone into a neat, manageable area.
If you cannot adopt but would like to sponsor one of our seniors or special needs dogs, please email Aneita.
