Bryhn, Laddie Blue and Morgan
I'm writing today to share my sadness with those who understand it, and hopefully open the door to a new and happy relationship with another Sheltie furkid.
I lost my precious 14 year old girl, Bryhn, on 12/23 after a valiant battle with urethral cancer. Following the November diagnosis and 7 days at home with a catheter we were managing with NSAID's and 15-20 multiple squat walks around the yard each day. She was able to maintain her appetite and sleep comfortably through the night, but then it spread to her lymph nodes... and she told me it was time to go.
She was the center of my universe, and I miss her terribly.
Bryhn was the last of my Sheltie family to make her way to the bridge. I had to say goodbye to 18 year old Morgan in 2014 for age related issues, and 13 year old Laddie Blue in 2015 for an incurable oral cancer.

* We do not permit adoptions of shelties as gifts. If you would like to give one as a gift you can contact us for advice on how to handle the situation.
Please note that we do NOT adopt to homes with children under the age of 10. Herding dogs, especially shelties, tend to chase whatever/whoever is running & they often will nip at the back of legs in their attempt to gather everyone into a neat, manageable area.
If you cannot adopt but would like to make a donation or to sponsor one of our forever fosters, seniors or special needs dogs, please email Aneita.
