Diggery

diggery

Diggery passed over the rainbow bridge on 2/1/19, a beloved four legged friend with a huge personality and a loving heart to match, he will be so missed by anyone who had the opportunity to meet him, he was awesome!

Love you Diggery.

Diggery has found his forever home. He has been adopted and is doing fine enjoying his time as the only "child", because the world revolves around him.

Diggery is enjoying his new home and having fun. He is such a nice dog, and loves sitting on my lap checking out the yard looking for squirrels. He is a major squirrel hunter and they should be moving out of the neighborhood now that Diggery is here. Max was a real hand full much more than Diggery. He is just a very happy active dog.

Our deepest sympathy goes out to Diggery's owner and family. His owner's wife had passed way unexpectantly and Diggery has been his saving grace. He helped him get though the tough time. Due to the family situation the owner felt it is best to relinquish Diggery back to SSPSNJ. He is moving and is not able to take him with him.

Diggery is a beautiful 7 year old neutered sheltie. He is very energetic. We will only place him in a home with a fenced in yard. He has a very high herding/prey drive and will clear your yard of birds, squirrels, cats, and anything that may move. He would do best as an only pet as it is all about him.

He does require to be brushed several times a week. He has an amazing coat. Diggery is a true show stopper who requires a home with training experience.

* We do not permit adoptions of shelties as gifts. If you would like to give one as a gift you can contact us for advice on how to handle the situation.
Please note that we do NOT adopt to homes with children under the age of 10. Herding dogs, especially shelties, tend to chase whatever/whoever is running & they often will nip at the back of legs in their attempt to gather everyone into a neat, manageable area.
If you cannot adopt but would like to make a donation or to sponsor one of our forever fosters, seniors or special needs dogs, please email Aneita.
