Edie (formerly Cameo) has joined all the other shelties over the Rainbow Bridge and is happily playing with old and new friends.
We are so so sad...we never thought we would have her for so long, but we were so lucky to have had her. What a beautiful little girl...we will miss her so much. We all will. Please keep us in your thoughts these next few weeks as we mourn our sweet Edie.
6/24/15 UPDATE from Cameo's foster home. Little Cameo is enjoying the shade here. She is such a sweet girl and continues to thrive! At almost 17, she still loves playing fetch and chases after her toys. She loves getting pet-pets, and will sit, lay down and give paw for her treats. We are so lucky we have her!
8/2/14 UPDATE I want you to see how beautiful our little girl Edie/Cameo looks! She is doing well. Still loves to play fetch and go for walks, but shorter stretches since she is getting more arthritic lately. We love her very much!
10/22/12 Cameo's status was changed to forever foster. She is a very sweet 15 year old girl who loves to be with people. She is doing really well in her foster home. She gets along great with the other dogs in the home. Cameo favorite thing to do is to go for walks.
Cameo - Her name says it all, lovely to look at and sweet in personality. Cameo was an owner turn in and she is a senior girl (14 years old) but still has lots of "spunk" and demands your attention and affection. Cameo walks well on a leash, although she really does prefer a fenced in yard and is housebroken. Cameo is better as an only dog and loves to be with people. Please consider giving Cameo a spot in your home.
If you would like to donate funds to help Cameo or one of our other forever fosters, you can donate via paypal on our donation page.
* We do not permit adoptions of shelties as gifts. If you would like to give one as a gift you can contact us for advice on how to handle the situation.
Please note that we do NOT adopt to homes with children under the age of 10. Herding dogs, especially shelties, tend to chase whatever/whoever is running & they often will nip at the back of legs in their attempt to gather everyone into a neat, manageable area.
If you cannot adopt but would like to make a donation or to sponsor one of our forever fosters, seniors or special needs dogs, please email Aneita.
