Snickers and Blondie

Snickers
Blondie

Due to unfortunate circumstances both Snickers and Blondie became ill and during treatment from one of our veterinarians it was discovered Snickers has the start of chronic Kidney and liver disease. We decided to make them forever fosters and since they are bonded, we will not separate them. Snickers has to receive IV fluids every day and she is on a special diet which requires her foster mom to cook salmon for her. Blondie's symptoms have improved but she is also on the salmon diet. The foster mom is doing an amazing job cooking for them, giving the sub Q fluids, and taking them to veterinarian appointments (she has to drive them an hour and a half each way).

Snickers and Blondie

SSPSNJ has received two new senior shelties named Snickers and Blondie. These two shelties were loved very much by their owner, but unfortunately because of medical circumstances, the owner could no longer keep them. Snickers and Blondie had bloodwork tests done, were microchipped and they will both be getting a very needed dental cleaning soon. Snickers is starting to have kidney issues and Blondie is on thyroid medication. Both shelties were professionally groomed and they are very well mannered, housebroken and get along with other dogs and are fine with people. They must stay together.

If you would like to donate towards Snickers and Blondie's medical care or help us with the cost of the salmon please contact us. Thank you. SSPSNJ

If you are interested in donating to help our foever foster shelties with ongoing medical care, please go to our DONATION web page. Thank you.

* We do not permit adoptions of shelties as gifts. If you would like to give one as a gift you can contact us for advice on how to handle the situation.
Please note that we do NOT adopt to homes with children under the age of 10. Herding dogs, especially shelties, tend to chase whatever/whoever is running & they often will nip at the back of legs in their attempt to gather everyone into a neat, manageable area.
If you cannot adopt but would like to make a donation or to sponsor one of our forever fosters, seniors or special needs dogs, please email Aneita.
