Champ is now a forever foster.
Champ is a very nice collie/sheltie mix who is on the larger size. He is around 7/8 years old and came into the rescue from the Burlington County Animal Shelter. He was very shy and scared while in the shelter but he is adjusting well in his foster home. He is a sweet boy. He loves to be petted and if you stop he will beg for more. He also enjoys playing with toys.
He gets along well with other dogs. Champ is a quick learner and takes corrections well. He is learning to come up and down steps. He rides nicely in a car and is good on leash. He is house broken, up to date on his shots, heart worm negative, and neutered. His foster mom is taking him to be groomed. We also will be getting a dental done on him asap.
If you would like to donate funds to help Champ or one of our other forever fosters, you can donate via paypal on our donation page.
* We do not permit adoptions of shelties as gifts. If you would like to give one as a gift you can contact us for advice on how to handle the situation.
Please note that we do NOT adopt to homes with children under the age of 10. Herding dogs, especially shelties, tend to chase whatever/whoever is running & they often will nip at the back of legs in their attempt to gather everyone into a neat, manageable area.
If you cannot adopt but would like to make a donation or to sponsor one of our forever fosters, seniors or special needs dogs, please email Aneita.
