Brody aka "Cricket"

Do not apply for Brody if you do not have a very active home and can handle a dog that is non-stop active. He would do best in a agility home. He is not a couch dog. He will be destructive if not kept active. MUST have 5’ fence or Higher. We will not look at applications that do not have the above requirements.

Brody is around 1 year old who is nicknamed "Cricket" because of his bouncing, is a funny, active, boy. He is a bi-black Sheltie mix who weighs @15lbs. He loves to play with other dogs but because of his enthusiasm would do best with a dog his size or larger.
Brody is a bit of a barker (what sheltie isn't?) but takes re-direction well. It is hard for him to remember to be "quiet" outside and may take frequent reminders. But he tries! It's just hard to remember things like that when you are playing. Brody would do best in a home with a fenced yard 5' or higher, with another dog to play with, and owners who like to take him places and do things. He is an excellent agility candidate as he is fearless and lightening fast. He learns quickly and enjoys being with people. He is learning to be snuggly after a full day's mental and physical exercise.

If you are interested in Brody please go the the Shetland Sheepdog Placement Services of NJ website and fill out an Adoption Application.

* We do not permit adoptions of shelties as gifts. If you would like to give one as a gift you can contact us for advice on how to handle the situation.
Please note that we do NOT adopt to homes with children under the age of 10. Herding dogs, especially shelties, tend to chase whatever/whoever is running & they often will nip at the back of legs in their attempt to gather everyone into a neat, manageable area.
If you cannot adopt but would like to make a donation or to sponsor one of our forever fosters, seniors or special needs dogs, please email Aneita.
