Sully was adopted on 4/20/11

Hello! My name is Sully. At four years old, I'm a very handsome blue merle Sheltie. I'm a great guy, outgoing, and walk nicely on a leash. I currently live with a 17 year old dog that I look after since he is disabled.

So with all my great qualities, why is my family choosing to give me up? Because they love me so much, they want me to have a more fulfilling life than they can currently give me. You see, the kids have all grown and are on their own and my mom is now gone over 13 hours a day working. I'm alone a lot and bored. My family is so sad, but they trust the Sheltie folks to find me the perfect family!

Since I'm a Sheltie and supposed to be a working dog, I just have too much energy to sit home all day. I need some excitement and adventure! I'm very smart and learn quickly, so maybe together we can learn agility or even sheepherding!

I look forward to meeting you!
Your pal,
Sully

* We do not permit adoptions of shelties as gifts. If you would like to give one as a gift you can contact us for advice on how to handle the situation.
Please note that we do NOT adopt to homes with children under the age of 10. Herding dogs, especially shelties, tend to chase whatever/whoever is running & they often will nip at the back of legs in their attempt to gather everyone into a neat, manageable area.
If you cannot adopt but would like to make a donation or to sponsor one of our forever fosters, seniors or special needs dogs, please email Aneita.
