Flynn and Harley
Flynn and Harley were adopted by their foster home. They now have a forever home.
Flynn and Harley came into the rescue together. They where surrendered to the Cape May Animal Shelter by their owner and the shelter contacted us right away. We sent a volunteer to pick them up and take them to one of our vets for much needed medical care. Both dogs are 8 years old. We believe that they spent most of the time outside. Neither dog is house broken or trained. The foster family is working hard on teaching them every aspect of being a pet including living in a house and walking on a leash. They both are quick learners and respond well to positive reward with treats. They are starved for attention and would love to sit with someone and get petted.
The sheltie, Flynn, was completely knotted and covered with fleas. Our vet had to shave him down to the skin because the knots where so tight. He is a happy boy who loves to prance around the house and yard. The good news is he is now going to the door and signaling to be let outside to do his business. His training is coming along nicely. Even though the Aussie, Harley, appeared to be in better shape she was covered in fleas and like Flynn she had no idea how to walk on a leash or be in a house.
Both dogs are very friendly and love to be around people. They are completely bonded and rely on each other. Since they have been together for over 7 years we will only place them together in a forever home. We will not separate them so please do not ask! Both dogs are neutered/spayed and up to date on shots. They very sweet. If you would like to adopt this bonded pair, they are amazing together and would give you so much love in return.
